Very low rings

Post by Flyonline » 05 May 2024, 6:48 pm

Trying to find a set of very low (i.e. lower than the usual 22mm to center of tube) 1" rings in 3/8th dovetail base. Can find them in weaver, but not 3/8ths, and anything that looks lower doesn't actually specify a height so I can't work out if they are.

Only going on a banger, so not interested in spending $150

Thanks

Steve

Does 5 or 6mm really matter?

Dingo Steel Rings 3/8th dovetail, 17mm saddle height. You won't get any lower than that, available from Haldex for about $70

Thanks, I'll have a look

It might not be much, but at the moment I have to hold my head in a weird half up/half down position to get a clear view through the scope and I can't get a good consistent cheek weld. I've added some padding which helps, but I was hoping to do away with it.

OK, I'm using a bit of camping mat taped in place.
