If you've got a few DUI's, held up a couple of servo's, stolen a few cars & been caught for it all, dont buy a gun safe.

Otherwise, get the safe installed before the gun comes home...

I agree, I didn't and regret it, not because I want more guns, but that it would be easier to get them in and out of the safe without damage. I bought my safe the same time that I picked up the rifle.

If you have a few chassis guns then you need to divide safe capacity by 2...at least.

My 16 gun safe is a squeeze for 6.

My suggestion is to have your safe storage sorted out and installed prior to purchase and taking possession of the firearms etc.AND as others have suggested get a bigger one. The storage shelf inside the safes are just far too small on 5 guns safes.

There's still a shortage of safes in SA because of the recent change, which is impacting the wait time as safes come in to Aus. it would be a good idea to get your safe sorted well ahead of time rather than thinking you'll just be able to grab what you want on the same day as you want pick up your new rifle.

Under 150 bolt it down.
I'd do both floor and wall if ya can but it's not a requirement up here. Cops will look to see if ya just done the bare minimum or gone a little bit further and I'm sure ya don't need to be told what they'd rather see  :drinks:

The qld act and regs state 150kgs empty.
There's lots of conflicting posts about this subject but my advice would be to bolt it in.
If ya concerned cause ya renting etc concrete wall is fairly easy to patch if ya move compared to losing ya funs!!! :D :drinks:

That won't work. You have to bolt it down if it weighs less than 150kg empty.
