Storage of straight pull bolt action in QLD

Post by Patriot » 18 Aug 2018, 3:18 pm

Looking at getting either pardus or impala bolt action shot guns
Law in Queensland states firearm must be stored with bolt removed or action broken.
How is that done in the the case of these two guns?
I asked the guys at a gun shop and was told this was not required with these.
Anyone know what the coppers want?

And everybody takes the bolt out of their Win 92, just to be safe. Right? I don't think so.

I think your answer is in the second line of your first post.

Firearm must be stored with bolt removed or action broken. So in the case of a straight pull where you can’t readily remove the bolt you just store with bolt open (action broken).
