Hunting on a target licence?

Post by Ham » 09 Jan 2019, 9:49 am

Hey shooters,
so on my licence my geniune reason is target shooting.
My mate has bought a large block of land and has given me permission to shoot.
Do i need to update my licence to show recreational/hunting.? (I assume this)
Or am i allowed to shoot recreationally occasionally on a "target" licence
Edit.. im in qld

In Queensland you get both on your licence automatically even if you just apply for target so no need to update anything.

But just check that licence has SC/RE on it to be sure, sometimes WLB only put one or the other, particualy if the club is not regristered as a hunting club as well. Most clubs here are registered as both target and hunting clubs which is why most people get both endorsments even if they only apply for one.

Sc2 is that you need to remain a member of a club for your genuine reason. I’d you use a property letter instead you just get re1 and sc1
