Mine still hasn't come through to the gun shop, it was supposedly being faxed on Friday afternoon according to weapons licensing....

I'm still waiting for mine approved last Saturday. Fingers crossed I get a call from the lgs today. Almost quicker to get it thru snail mail. :(

In most cases I think it is. Emailing it would be the sensible option, which is why it doesn't exist.

You got that right 9line, you'd think in this day and age they'd be able to send it by email, either to you or the dealer then you just print it out and you're away.
Instead they (licensing) have to print it out and either snail mail it to you, or if it's being faxed it still needs to be printed then fed through the fax machine and sent off which all eats up valuable man hours....

Yap, Mate, WLB can fax the PTA direct to the Dealer, at least they did mine only this week. :D

Yeah mate I had mine faxed direct to the dealer from WLB, but even though they can do this the office staff at WLB still have to print out your PTA first so they can feed the printed copy through the fax machine to send it through to your dealer.
Would be much better if they could just send it as a file to dealers email.

OK I'll admit straight out I know next to nothing about computers but isn't there a button in the toolbar things that allows them to fax over the Internet without getting out of the chair??

Sounds like we have a similar knowledge of computers.....I'm just relaying what WLB told me on the phone the other day, I asked the nice lady in the office why can't they just email the PTA and she said unfortunately it's not that simple, they still have to print it out to be able to fax it through...

Wife and I both submitted licence application on 6 June. Got call for ID check the very next day.

Have not heard boo since then.

Was told by QRA instructors 6 week wait time so went and ordered a shotgun each.

Waiting impatiently 10.5 weeks later!

Hope the dealer doesn't sell our guns!

I'd suggest a polite phone call to WLB and let them know that you have completed the ID check and ask if the paperwork has been received from your local police station etc. Reason, if WLB dosen't receive the ID paperwork within 2 weeks (?) they will assume that you no longer wish to proceed AND cancel your application. It happened to me..

Put my A & B application in on the 12/6/17. After it expired in March. Waited 10 weeks so far. Already have a cat H. Their service is an utter joke. Called up 2 weeks ago and was screamed at for calling before 12 weeks.

I submitted a PTA 18th August.

Got approval email 20th August.

Store said it arrived a couple days ago when talking yesterday, so arrived in store say 22nd August.

I've never had issues with weapons licencing, always been good to me.
