Hey Louis89, The WLB will require you to take to the nominated police station more ID than just the Rates Notice and the original Docs. are required. Not too sure if certified true copies are acceptable either.

I hope the processing times are better around now, applied on 20th September, so just gone 4 weeks so far. The wait is insane.

ID check request came next day 26/07/2017
Did ID check at local station on 27/07/2017
PTA application went in on 14/08/2017
Received a call last week (17/10) to re send them a copy of my safety course, did so same day.
Received email today confirming Licence has been approved 24/10/2017

So 13 weeks today from application till approved. Now just waiting for the card !

Applied for my A / B licence 20th Aug and applied for my PTA 30th August. Got my licence approval email on 3rd Nov and PTA email approval on 6th Nov.
So my PTA turns up in the mail today but still waiting on licence to come. now i have to wait another 2 weeks for a day off so i can pick up my rifle

10 weeks is a hell of a long time, but beats the average 12 weeks I've been seeing.

Now just the wait for the plastic. God damnit.

Congrats. That is a fairly quick turnaround compared to some. Have you received your card yet and if so how long after your email were you waiting for the card?

I applied on the 30th of September so I am hoping I may have the approval email shortly.

I applied on the 30th of September so I am hoping I may have the approval email shortly.

Even my PTA came in the mail last week, it's sitting here ready to go with my license number on it and everything but i can't pick anything up without the plastic.

Still waiting mate, i called them up a couple of days ago and they mentioned that the card processing place (where the licenses are made) has been undergoing tech difficulties and have juat resolved it and are now back onto distribution. So I would say that double the 2 week mark they set because they will be far behind. 4 weeks i guess from approval to license in hand at the current rate.
