Collectors Licence

I'm just wondering what's involved in getting and keeping a collectors licence and how expensive it is.

Pretty sure cost is the same as regular firearms license, and it's for the same period.

There are difference categories of "collector" though that make licensing harder or easier.

Handgun, ammo and some other categories depending on the age of the firearms I think.

What are you looking to collect exactly?

Yep, difference categories for collectors.

You will also need to be a member of a club - Give these a try:

Antique and Historical Arms Association of South Australia
PO Box 4
email: pennag@netcon.net.au 01
Kent Town SA 5071

Arms Collectors Society - APSC
C/o 4 Pauls Dve
Valley View SA 5093

Port Lincoln Firearms Collectors Club
PO Box 201
Port Lincoln SA 5606

Heritage Arms Society
PO Box 552
Eastwood SA 5251

Couldn't find phone numbers... You can find them I'm sure.
What is this "too many rifles" you speak of?

A lot tougher than regular license though if I recall. Gotta have club sponsorship, give a set of prints and the whole nine yards?

Yes, it's more involved than your regular license.

You will need club help, contacting your local one is your best first step.
