Can anyone enlighten me, Are hunting Crossbows legal in Qld ?

Hey mate,

If I remember right they weren't always restricted, but became restricted a few years ago.

It's the same as a rifle now basically. You have to do a safety course for it and get an M license, then a permit for each crossbow you have.

All done through firearms dealers as well.
What is this "too many rifles" you speak of?

Legal, but restricted/licensed like Hercl explained.

Normal hunting restrictions apply as well, e.g. hunting feral animals only, must have permission to hunt on private property and so on...

If you give them a call they could probably point you in all the right directions.
