What permits do I need in order to shoot kangaroos on my mates private property?

The property owner will need to apply to cull a specific number of animals.
I would also expect the shooter doing the cull would have to have passed the 'roo shooters test.

In NSW we apply for "Tags" then tag the carcass, problem is you ask for 100 tags and they send you 20 which is plain stupid. I was up around Narrabri last November on a cull and we were shooting 30-40 a night and the other crew got just as many or more. Used 250 tags over 3 nights and barely made a dent on the numbers and this was only on less then 10,000 acres.

In VIC check the info on the link below, hope it helps.

In WA you can shoot and leave on the property.Tags are only required if you intend to take the carcass for sale.As there are no more processors taking carcasses its drop and rot

I have a property in NSW and have had issues with Kangaroos eating all my fruit trees and other damage to fences etc.

Do I just apply for an occupiers license. I visit the property every fortnight if that makes a difference.

Does anyone know the costs involved or if I need to do any course
