Has anyone tried checking a NSW License Application or PTA today and had this come up?

This should be sorted ASAP, contact FAR post haste, if you have any Firearms listed as in your possession, when this is flagged the local Police are quickly advised to sort it out! ;)

This License is NOT Valid

Doesn't that just mean the application hasn't been approved yet?

If it just isn't recognizing the number if may be a glitch in the system that will be sorted out on Monday. It may also be that is has been referred for issue, but with a different number, as I'm pretty sure the original notification says that it is a tentative number and it may change...

WAIT.....
Until you get your letter to go and finish the Licence proceedure...
If you are still unhappy, RING the NSW FAR and ask politely what happens next.
Nobody on a Forum can make it work faster for you....:-)

Don't expect anyone on a forum to make it go quicker.
I'm wondering has anyone else checked an application or PTA and had this come up in the last couple of days.
If yes well the site maybe down
If no well I dare say I might of been refused

Their tech systems are woeful so its probably just that. I've had (and I know other people on the forum mention similar things) firearms which I have recieved printed certificates for, just go missing from the system and not be on the list for safe storage inspections by the local police. I wouldn't stress about it until you get something one way or the other (unless of course you've got an existing reason to think you might have been refused - in which case good luck getting them to change their mind on anything.) For what its worth I have a couple of mates applying at the moment and judging by how long theirs are taking, the registry is heavily backlogged.

Your licence is not valid yet wait the 28 days then it will change to a number again and say refereed to service nsw or something along that line, then you go get yer photo taken . When you can submit a pta and then wait another 28 days + postage nothing weird about it and no backlog at all its how it is . The system is working how they want it to work not how we want it to work if you payed by credit card look at your statement from when they took the money out count 28 days then add postage time this can be 4 -5 days each way and nothing you can do to speed it up .

I've got a PTA sitting on being processed for 20 days now, usually it's back in my hand within 14 at the most.

first one lol
the post is your enemy look at when they took the $ from your card bet you its about 12-14 days after you posted it you post it where you live it then goes to REDFERN mail exchange into locked bag 1 murwillimbar sits there till its a full bag may be a week depending on volume then gets delivered then it arrives at far they sort it 1 day added then its processed after processing may another day or 2 then the 28 days start then its reviewed after 28 day and finally they finish it and send to nsw services and inform them to send letter to you 2 more days then they send you out a letter after about a week .
They say 28 days cooling off I think my first to 50 days from post to receive letter then you have the same again for your first pta that.s why you send off for 2 a rimfire and centerfire
Do you still have a 28 days wait on each used to

I received my licence about a month ago and it was approved exactly 29 days after them receiving it. Then add an extra 3-4 days for the photo advice to arrive in the mail and I had my licence ready to send my first PTA. When I did my licence course I was given the advice to send as many offical documents as possible to not have any delays in the processing. The extras I sent were pictures of my r-hunting licence, drivers licence, junior firearms licence and SSAA membership card.
