What sort of crap is this??

Post by Fritz » 21 Mar 2017, 6:46 pm

So, somebody goes for a walk through the Bourke St mall.
Working for a security company but not a registered security guard AND carrying a pistol without a licence and is NOT charged with any criminal offence!!

All we have to do is sneeze the wrong way and we get locked up, yet this bloke gets off scot free, not even a slap on the wrist..

Staged. Or a file photo.

I open carry my Glock but I don't use a drop leg holster. People would be pointing and laughing in the US. If you aren't wearing body armor or LCE/ALICE you are a douche for carrying like that. Absolute Mall Ninja.

Looks like a super villain has lost his henchman. Never mind, he'll be dead by scene 3.

I used to work in armed security. Unless the rules have changed, you are not supposed to open carry unless you are wearing a uniform that clearly identifies you as a security officer. Plain clothes you are supposed to conceal carry. I met a lot of blokes like this in the industry, watched a few too many movies and start to believe they are some sort of super hero. Funny thing was, when something happened they were generally useless.

I remember a guy rocking up to work wearing leather fingerless gloves.
All I could say was "you won't be wearing those f@&king things while you're working with me".

I would get that thing out of his Serpa so fast his head would spin before it was blown off. He obviously has not had retention training. I'm going to say it a third time: Mall Ninja

Thank christ for that.
I think there would have been a few choice words from a few people if they walked away from that one.

certainly an 'operator'....... mbest11 crew on holiday

But I thought thigh holsters were for chick who drive LandRovers...and Vicpol Vsog...

but What an indictment of the sheer stupidity of Melburnians though..... all was sweet, 'cause he was 'dressed to carry' must have been fully legit.... bra.....

The security co lost their licence.... he'll probably walk, "cause they told me it was all good..." kind thing

There is a security company in the NT that uses said holsters, I was surprised to see that as I didn't think they were allowed to.

When I was carrying at work the only thing that may have made such a holster even slightly desirable would be a little less chance of getting hung up on the seat belt in an emergency.. yep, face plant ouch  Only happened once though  My buddy was getting chased with a Machete at the time in my defense

That tactifool is a toss..

“Accidental Discharges” DO NOT OCCUR !!

An "Unintended Discharge" is nothing more than the lack of appropriate safety procedures or the failure to follow them..!

I don't understand why people are worried about handguns in cars. People actually put special mounts in their cars so they can reach the handgun if they need it.

I can assure you, I can pull it from my hip instantly. There are so many people that complain about this that there has to be some truth to it. I will not dispute that. But whatever truth that is, it does not apply to me.

Walked into the bank the other day. Guy in civvies—no uniform— at the cashier, handing over money. Wearing a handgun in a thigh holster. Took a photo with the phone I was so surprised. Especially in WA! :-D

At my local pub a few years a couple of plain clothes detectives walked into the place, both with holstered handguns, to check the place out. Neither had visible ID. The publican asked them to go back to their car, lock their firearms away and return if they wanted to. When they baulked at his suggestion he immediately got on his phone to call the 'real police' to come and sort this out. They just smirked and said go ahead.

A uniformed Senior Sergeant promptly arrived and proceeded to give both of the detective constables (whom he obviously outranked) a thorough reaming out in front of all the regulars. I think he enjoyed it! He then apologised for this breach of protocol and assured us that both would be back in uniform within 24 hours. Arrogance gets you nowhere.

I bumped into a bloke in the petrol station today here in Melbourne sporting one, so they're about in more than one state.

(Clearly identified as "security" by his clothing, and driving the company branded car)

I did have a laugh though to see a bunch of about 30 zip ties sticking out of his pocket, which I assume (perhaps mistakenly) were intended to be used as restraints
