Storing miscellaneous parts

Post by Yipikaye » 31 Mar 2018, 7:55 am

Hi All,

The bottom of my safe is filling up with misc gun parts which is messy and they get in the way.

I have a few what I would call harmless items such as chokes which take up a lot of space.

First do I have to store these in the safe (guess so) and if so has anyone come up with any great in safe storage solutions for these.

I'd be amazed if you couldnt store any non-registered parts in an old fridge with a padlock on it!

I can imagine that anything that is listed on your licence (actions, frames, etc) would likely need storing in a safe, but miscellaneous parts that aren't listed are a bit hard for them to say you havent done due diligence, if they are still in a locked storage.

I'd find an old dead upright fridge. 5 Minutes and a $25 padlock & hasp, and I'd reckon they be hard pressed to suggest you weren't doing it right.

My 2 cents.

ROFL. I have mine in a jar, on a shelf somewhere. Yep. Staying classy.
