Miroku MK10 Sporter feedback wanted

Anyone able to offer some advice and experience on the Miroku MK10 Sporter?

I've got a Mk 70 sporter , never had a problem . Shot clays , rabbits ,ducks and foxes with it , easy to point .
Id not hesitate to buy Miroku again .

Had a second hand one for a little while - yeah...it shot stuff. Locked up nice but stock started coming loose.
Replaced it with an ATA686 - same thing...it shoots stuff.

I've got one. I chose it instead of a beretta SP1. Ive been using it for DTL trap and bunnies/foxes. I'm happy as a pig in the brown stuff with the choice.

Hey Jeff,

If you’re not far from Cecil Park (NSW) shotgun range (SISC) they use Miroku Mk10 Trap guns as their hire guns.

These would’ve had 1000’s of rounds shot through them and I’ve been using them busting clays in the last couple of months.

Some have a slight rattle and one in particular suffers from soft strikes (using Winchester ammo) but they point well and shoot true.

I’d recommend it as a good option as their grade 1 are quite affordable ... used a friend’s Mk70 Sporter last weekend and got best scores (clay) in our group. They shoot well, don’t hesitate if it fits you well.

Miroku Model 10 - blimey i have owned so many of the miroku variants over the years and currently my only shotgun is a Mk10 Grade 3 30 inch with the Briley S54 thin wall chokes. I fear no sporting clays target as long as i do my part - i have tweaked the gun to suit my style and i couldnt ask for more.

All depends on that you want to shoot - the Mk 10 comes in trap and sporting variants . I think that both the trap and sporters are offered with the Invector Plus chokes OR the Briley C300's - but OSA the Australian importer (With Rod Laidlaw as the Miroku guru there!!) are always bringiing in new variants for the Oz market.

I have never had any issues with any Miroku shotgun i have owned - but dont be afraid to tweak the gun to make it fit you properly. Barrel length 30 inches is the way to go and personally i would choose the Mk10 model with the Briley C300 choke tubes if its available. The Invector Plus chokes tend to make the gun a bit more muzzle heavy which for my style of shooting isnt what i am after. A good shotgun should balance on the hingepin and my Mk10 with the Briley S54's and 30 inch barrels does just that!

The C300's are great chokes that dont give the excessive muzzle-heaviness that the Invector plus chokes do.

I shot one for ten years , all I ever did was clean it and put ammo into it
It never missed a beat .
I would not feel under gunned if I was told that the MK10 was my only option.
