Does anyone know where these can be bought?
I got my last lot from Cleavers but they dont stock them any more.

Do they have to be new? I bought 1000 new hulls from Cleaver years ago but thousands of once-fired hulls get tossed out every week at any shotgun range, just help yourself.

Yes, I have been using pickups but some seem to be tapered inside and the wad wont go right down. I will keep trying them but its areal mix to sort through.
I am using them for slug loads with a roll crimp and I only get one reload then they are too short for my Bushpig to cycle. New shells give me two goes then any more reloads have to go through my old Boito single barrel.
But thats OK. Just thought there may be new shells around..

Have you tried a star crimp. I did a few for my old single. They go bang.

Star crimps use too much shell and make them too short for the Bushpig. I can get two roll crimps to one star crimp. The star crimps work OK in the Boito but.

Getting new hulls now is not easy, the cheapness of factory 12g and the loss of Winchester Australia manufacturing leading to suppliers such as Ballantynes closing has severely restricted 12g reloading. As bladeracer said picking up used shells from the range may be your best option, just don't bother with Winchester or Remington as they are mostly internally tapered, but Fiocchi, PMC, Federal are all Reifenhauser System shells and should suit you, as are Cheddite if you see any. Have you considered brass? They will feed in lever actions if shortened to about 2 1/4", maybe playing with the length may feed in the Bushpig or perhaps a small taper crimp may assist feeding? Cheers.

Thats a thought , I had not considered brass. Will plastic wads seal? I thought with a thinner wall the internal diameter would be smaller.I am sizing the slugs to fit a wad and go through the choke. With brass I might have to start again and use a bore size slug or ball and make my own wad stack. Always something to do ;)
I tried cutting the crimp off cheap factory target shells and using that wad shortened. That works with round ball but slugs are too long even for a roll crimp.

Another potential advantage with brass is that they don't use 209's which I believe are still hard to find.

No,they won't seal with normal 12g wads etc.
