B&P Thrill Shock 3" 410 slugs in Rossi 410 S/B

Hi
I'd appreciate the views of the brains trust. I have a fairly new Rossi Montenegro 410/22lr matched pair, two barrels, one action.
The 410 barrel appears to measure as a cylinder bore, although marked as Mod

I recently bought some B&P Thrill Shock 3" slugs, which appears to be quite a hot, 139 gr slug doing 1870 fps. The B&P website lists the chamber pressure for the round at 850 BAR or 12,328 psi, which would be well within SAAMI max load for 3" 410 (13,500 psi). However, on reading the small print on the packet, it says only to be used in guns proofed to 1320 BAR (19,145 psi) !!! I can't imagine any 410 shotty being proofed for that kind of pressure and have no idea what the Rossi is proofed for. As I said, the B&P website says the round generates 850 BAR, so I'm confused. Any thoughts?

Pushing the envelope.
I wouldn’t do it.
I’ve shot Winchester super x slugs through mine. Very pleased with those.
But no that’s too hot I’m not game.
I don’t know what 410 those were made for. Some crazy hillbilly.

Thanks guys, taking them to the farm this weekend. I'll give it a go, but might do a "remote" trigger pull for the first shot and check for pressure signs. I'll let you know how it goes. If they go ok and shoot straight at 50m, I'll have an awesome little all round farm gun.
Womble, you can get them for around $20 for ten.

Well tried one round this morning out at the farm. Big muzzle blast, more recoil than with a Winchester slug, ejector stuck so shell wouldn't eject, slight cracking around base of brass.

Tested a Winchester 3" slug, fine, ejected perfectly. No pressure signs.

Conclusion is I'll be sticking with Winchester 3" slugs and putting the B&P back in the safe. I bought 5 boxes of them. Shame, as these things probably outperform a 357 mag within 50 m.

As I said, this was in a newish, about two years old, Rossi Montenegro single barrel 410. These rounds MAY be different in other guns, but they are certainly a very hot load.

I'll be sticking to the Winchester 3".

Thanks for everyones input
