Has anybody any idea if ballantines [ makers of Champion cartridges ] are going to open again??

Have you tried to ph them. They are in Laverton, Melbourne.

Up to recently I believe they were still selling to the public direct

Yes it 'might' be cheaper to buy your ammo, but I like to roll my own for all cartridges that I shoot except the .22LR - just because I want to!

Forget it, they are long gone with all their equipment either sold or scrapped and the land re-purposed as a car wreckers. The shot tower is still there though, last time I was in Maria St Laverton Nth. Winchester Australia was the biggest customer of Ballantynes and when they closed Hays Rd the loss of income was more than Ballantynes could carry so they closed up.
