i have lost count of the deer that i have shot with slugs the foster typ and sabots the foster are good from a smoth bore and under 100 yards there is not much that it wont kill .
sabots shoot much flatter and farther and they tend to have much more recoil and work best from rifled guns

I used to hunt sambar when I was younger. Would like to give it another go soon. I'll definitely have to hunt smarter than harder these days lol

That's one of the issues with many sports/hobbies. When your young and fit you can't afford it due to the usual family costs. When the kids leave and you have the cash and some time, your getting old and fat. Bit of a bummer.

How do you figure?

Same power charge, same weight projectile = same recoil?

Genuine question here, not being a smart ass.
