They wont feed through a tube anyway,at least mine wouldn't.
Yes they are long enough that the end goes inside the barrel,doesnt matter though

I get you now, they go out into the rifling?
They extract okay?
Then just re-size in the .303 die and repeat.

Okay, but they still chamber fine without sizing or being scratched by the rifling? What model of .44 are you chambering them in?
I can see I'll have to just cut some brass and find out for myself :-)
Which means I'll have to shoot some .303 as I just turned all my empties into 6.5x54R.

They work perfectly fine. They don't get scratched or marked,and extract fine. I'm pretty sure somewhere I posted photos of them. I used to shoot them in my rossi

Takes less five minutes to swap the buttstock at most.
