Well apparently these are now available, despite the trouble being had to bring them in through customs. Not much is being said and I can understand why. But does anyone have any experiences with them?

Not my style. I will stick with my DB 12gauge, however it would be interesting to see who shelled (excuse the pun) out the few grand to buy one and what they thought of it.

Image looks interesting but verney carron make such ugly guns. Put it in a tactical chassis and they will sell like crazy but $3500 for a wooden gun is not for me.

Agreed on the ugliness, such a shame.
I wish someone would do a nice looking. 22lr with the thumb release action.

I didn't know it existed until now ... not too bad.
I might even check one out in the flesh next time I visit town and do a little homework.
I'd love something that looked more like a Ruger 10/22 but beggars can't be choosers

If I can't have a real semi-auto or pump I'd rather have a quality SxS or O/U all day.

Same.
That thing looks like something for special needs people that are too retarded to operate a semi auto.
And to further the insult apparently we all are.

These don’t appeal to my liking at all. Their pump actions kinda do though. Still not the best looking rifle out there, but I’d like one of their synthetic models in 243. I’ve got a Remington 7600 in 308, 243 would have been my caliber of choice but they no longer make the 7600 in 243, so 308 it was.

I know some older folks will turn their noses up in disgust to see what Australia has come to, but for us younger folds who didn't have firearms pre 96, these type of firearms offer us something different. And at that price point, one would hope they are a darn sight better than the Turkish straight pulls (of which not all are awful, but none quite match the quality of most semi auto's I have described to me)

I mean hey, I'd love to own a 12g pump... but I can't. But this thing, even if I can't afford it now, at least it is better than my old single shot break action:)

You aren't missing much semi auto is kind of over rated, for me I hate the appearance laws much more. I would take a scar 17 or a socom 16 that had the gas system permanently deactivated even if it meant charging every shot but that will never happen because of the way they look.

Dunno bout other states, but I was told by a gun store owner that they've been approved as Category A rather than B in WA :)

The whole appearance laws thing does my head in.
Appearance has absolutely nothing to do with performance. Just ask my Mrs. I mean I know I'm ugly but my Mrs will tell you performance is super duper. :D
