When whistling foxes I often find myself in a situation where I have a rifle in my hand when a shotgun would be better, and vice versa.
I'm interested in a combo gun but only ever see .410 or 20 gauge, so 2 questions:
1. Does anyone have or know where i can find a combination gun with the shotgun component being 12G
2. or, is 20G plenty for foxes?
Cheers!

My thoughts have gone down this route MANY times. The biggest issue I see is the sights....ideally,you don't want any for use with the shotgun, whereas you'll definitely want a semi decent magnification scope for the rifle. So I reckon probably the best bet would be say a 20g/222 or the like with a 1-8 power scope, preferably in QD mounts. Although,if you can get a scope that low they're probably not super necessary. Other problem is one of regulation,I have heard the savages are poorly regulated yet they probably offer the better combination of calibres at a reasonable cost.

1. Yes you can find a few in my safe I have two 12G/Rifle combos
2. Is a 20G plenty for foxes I have a 20G/Rifle combo plus a few 20G shotguns. They kill just as good as some big 42G BB kicker.

I'd be sorely tempted by either the 22 Hornet or 357 Mag combo with a red dot sight.

Let me know if you'd like to sell either of your 12G combos mate! I'd like to stick with 12G to match my other shotgun.

I see you found one. Great combination gun, just beware it's a 1:14 twist when selecting ammo.
Also check the regulation when you get it.

I will check the twist Fionn, from my research it could be anywhere from 1:14 to 1:9,
