When I first bought shotgun. Choke never unscrewed the same afterwards in that barrel.

No reason it would damage it, unless it was a copper, brass or steel slug perhaps.

Sounds like the slug has given it a real good nudge being that ist not unscrewing like it use to.

Perhaps try your luck by cleaning the threads with a fine wire brush, some solvent to clean and heavy grease to lubricate. Its remotely possible that it's gummed up rather than damaged.

Maybe not best practice to shoot slugs through full choke - fixed or tubes. I wouldn't do it but I'm old and I don't abuse my things unnecessarily. That said, if you clean the threads as suggested and get away with it then I'd be choosing the least choked tube for slugs in the future.

Shooting certain slugs through full choke will not hurt the choke,however its not great for accuracy.
