Competitions suitable for straight pulls

Forgive the newby question.

I don't have any experience with shotguns but the dormant country boy in me feels a strong desire to eventually get a straight pull shotgun and I'm wondering apart from the obvious hunting applications are there any sporting disciplines that you can shoot with them to get in some practice?

Bonus points if the activities are available in the sydney metro area

All types of competition are open to you as none actually specify what type of shotgun you can use. They will limit you to only load 2 rounds, and due to having to manually operate the gun between shots you will be at a significant disadvantage in scoring. If you want a multi-shot shotgun buy one, enjoy it for what it is, but understand it will never be as effective a target/hunting tool as a good double, Cheers.

Look up practical shooting.
We have shotguns matches once a month at my local pistol club.
Most of the guys running semi of pumps, but few using a straight pull, lots of fun !!
