Shotgun for slugs and pigs

I was toying with the idea of buying a mates akkar three barrel 12 ga off him. he never uses it and wants to move it on.I dont currently own a 12ga and have never had much use for one. Really the only reason to acquire it would be novelty of having a 3 barrel gun in the safe and maybe a potshot at pigs. Might be interested in trying some heavy or custom slug loads for the first time . I am guessing powders are unobtainium and wads and other components are going to be limited as well in the current climate so may not be a realistic project?

If you want to shoot slugs then buy some 1 1/4oz shotshells, open them up remove the shot and insert a slug, good to go.

Does it work as easily as that mate?

You will need to buy a roll crimp too.

I have been shooting a 3 barrel for a few years now. I've shot a 12 and 20G in 20", 26" and 28".
I like them a lot or hunting. I've put slugs, SG down to #9 shot , they are heavy but great guns.
