The m4 is used by heaps of combat forces around the world..
Possibly because it’s a military shotgun that was designed for the military. It dose’nt jam, ever.
It’s a worrying ruling tbh because there’s heaps of straight pulls and button lever thingy release shotguns that could be classed the same. Appearance wise to a novice or Joe Public . Any shotgun with a pistol grip bears similarly .
It’s just a dumb law and that’s the problem.
None of these guns function like military weapons. And for hunting or clays or whatever legitimate purpose, moving targets they’re inferior to any double shotgun or over under.
So it’s difficult to argue they’re more dangerous or more deadly or some crap than a more traditional looking sporting field shotgun.
But NSW so yep. It’s just a dumb place generally. Something in the water reserves maybe. But you can’t fix stupid.
Pretty much all their firearms legislation reads like it was written by the work experience kid. They just make s**t up or copy paste from other legislation and change a few words to say firearms. Some of its just nonsensical.
Searching for reasoning when they enact something new is pointless because they never had any , just someone was having a bad day.
I dream of a world where chickens can cross the road without having their motives questioned
