A box of original 12/14g shells would be near as hard to find as the shottie! Does it still have the forked firing pin?

I used to make 410 shot shells out of 303 cases .

Not unless the 3 prong forked firing pin has already been modified to use standard shells without the annular groove. The restriction from 12g to 14g in the bore seems to not matter overly, as several of these MkIII guns have been converted to either 2" or 2 1/2" 12g and used without problem. If you have a modified firing pin 12/14g shells are easily made from brass 12g by necking down with a forming die available from the likes CH4D etc.
