AP Custom shotshell carrier

Post by vonfram88 » 13 Dec 2014, 2:18 am

These arrived from the states about a week ago. It took only one week from ordering online to get them to my doorstep. In contrast, I ordered an ATI stock from a well known Australian supplier that had it advertised on their website as though it was available and the damn thing hasn't arrived after nearly six weeks! Never again! Go straight to the suppliers in the US.

Anyway, these AP Custom shotshell carriers are the latest craze in the prac shooting scene and allow the shooter in Unmodified divisions to speed reload two shells at a time. Pure gun porn, machined alluminium.

This is what it looks like in action. I have a lot of speed to gain with some more practice.

The spacing is so you can grab two out at a time, with your knuckles is it? Or are you doing 2 between thumb and forefinger? Hard to see in the dark video.

P.S. Nice shotty :D

I viewed the reloading in coaches eye alongside a typical seppo three gunner. Those guys load 8 in half the time it take me fumble 4.

We are supposed to grab two in the palm with the thumb on top of the brass. It would be better with a mossberg shotgun as they don't have a spring loaded gate.

Incredibly frustrating when they do that.

More than happy to tell you it's out of stock though... After they have your money.

Do the holder rotate so you can angle the shells to your liking?

Sorta looks like they might in the picture I thought...

Why the mag loads?

Can you shoot lighter loads?

If you mean the shot shell carriers, no more force than taking a mag or moonclip off a holder. If you are referring to the slide arm on the gun, this model was known as the speed pump. When fired, the rotating bolt unlocks and the recoil almost cycles the slide by itself.

The 00 was old stock sitting at the back of my armory. Plus shooting skeet #8 loads at paper IPSC targets and steel plates is silly.
