Bettinsoli Shotguns

Hey guys,

Been looking at a new shotgun and came across Bettinsoli which seem to be new on most websites. Has anyone had any experience with them? Looking at the X-Trail or the Diamond X-Grade (though I haven't been to look in store yet).

Italian made with 5 years warranty seems like a good deal!

Any thoughts?

I have owned a bettinsoli 12g U/O for over 20 years. It has been a solid gun and has had no problems at all. The stock is basic but not to bad. Over all good value for money. I think it cost about 500.00 back then.

I've only had a handle, not a shoot, but agree with Alan.

Price is about right for the quality.

Nothing amazing, but certainly not a budget option. Good quality for a reasonable price.

I've shot the competition line Grand Prix.

Found it quite good, and cheaper than the usual suspects you see.

I've been waiting to look at the Diamond X-Grade but my local has taken weeks longer than expected to get them in so far.

I'm told it should now "definitely" be next week but I've been told that before :|

Just come across these at my LGS.

Seem like a fine unit for the money.

I didn't think anything was wrong with the stock quality?

Walnut quality varies from rifle to rifle.

With all brands, not just the Bettinsoli.

Buying my latest Tikka they opened 2 boxes for me of the same rifle. One was a very rich, deep coloured bit of top walnut. The other was perfectly serviceable but just... Meh. Wasn't particularly nice.

Perhaps you and Alan saw difference ends of the quality scale.

Perhaps.

TBH I haven't noticed such a wide swing from 2 of the same rifles. Not that I've been comparing though I suppose.

Have been thinking about a .204 or .222 or similar lately so a trip to the LGS is in order soon. I'll pay more attention next time around.

My father has an older bettinsoli, couldn't be happier with it. I'm so shotgun expert but the quality seems excellent, especially for the price he paid for it.
