Webley & Scott Shotguns

Hi Guys/Gals,

Just wondering if anyone here has experience with Webley & Scott shotguns?
I was looking at getting a 912 sporter for shooting clay pigeons, and by clay pigeons, I mean the pigeons around the Clayfield area. No I joke.
Are they any good or am I better off saving a tiny bit more for something like an Akkar Churchill, CZ Redhead or ATA 686S?
Also I don't want any trolls/asshats saying I should be getting at least a Beretta Silver Pigeon or Browning B725 as a starter gun for clay shooting.

Cheers Ade :)
If I end up enjoying shooting clays enough I will put in the money for something like a Beretta.

The W&S are a perfect first shotgun IMO.

Price you'll know, comes with 5 chokes included from memory. They're proofed for magnum and steel shot loads.

They're a nice all-rounder.

i got a 912 about 6 months ago. i've put thousands of rounds through her on clays and also taken her hunting. no problems with it and i'm very pleased with it.

Thanks guys, I really shouldn't read these topics as I was putting off buying a shotty for no real reason other than bills and food but those can now wait :D

I picked one up last week at the Gun Emporium sale, $850 with 250 rounds of steel shot for free. Haven't had a chance to shoot it yet but it seems well enough made for the money. As others have said, most people buy them (cheapies) to use for duck season instead of using their big dollar guns.

Definitely. I had a Browning Cynergy last season and decided to get rid of it and buy the Webley for the same reason.
