I was thinking of getting an 1887, but the Adler is $1000 cheaper

so that's probably a deal breaker on the 87, as long as the Adler is OK for cowboy action.

I may be wrong but I think for cowboy action the calibre and style of firearm had to be available at the time period you're portraying. So the 1887 fits but I would think the styling of this is too modern even though it functions basically the same. Like I said I could be wrong though

You're probably right, if so as the Adler is about $1000 cheaper than the Chiappa/Taylor 1887 I suppose I can get an Adler AND a double-barrel, then use the Adler for everything except CAS

Hmmm... I'm about to enter the market for a short over under, but this looks like it may serve its purpose for me. I prefer the looks and the price over the chiappa levers, but i would want reliability above all else

Anyone else find it riduculous that pump action shotguns are restricted but these are perfectly legal? Equal amount of rounds held in it with the same speed of cycling what's the bloody difference?

May just be a coincidence but there seemed to have been a lot of lever action shotguns on used guns the last couple days. Maybe people are making room for one of these

looks like its silhouette but still not sure

if it is turkish dose that mean it would be cheap?

Yes, thats the one....of course its cheap (in cost).... but by the time it hits the shelves here get ready to be cucumbered

hope there released soon tho at a reasonable price this fixes the downfalls of th 87 but still looks classic-cool enough to be acceptable to customs and others :)

I stand corrected, these are listed at $750 in Vic.... which seems damn good value for a fun gun like an 8shot 12g!!! I'm thinking I might need one.. or even 2 to keep the Missers happy

I'd say going straight to Turkey (without going via USA) has worked in our, as consumers, favour.

Bring on the 12g leverevolution :drinks:

Let all collectively cross our fingers hoping these pupies are not reclassified.... it does happen and considering their functionality compared to a pump

Given the numbers already ordered, nioa may try challenge any reclassification. They would stand to make a fortune in sales given the hype

Gun Control Australia chair Sam Lee said the Adler's reloading speed made it more like the pump-action firearm used by Bryant.

One just has to love how the facts never play a part in the anti-gun crowd's arguments. According to Samantha Lee, an L1A1 rifle is actually a "pump action firearm", and an AR-15 is also a "pump action firearm".

Yep, she says

Gun Control Australia chair Sam Lee said the Adler's reloading speed made it more like the pump-action firearm used by Bryant.

She either has no idea or she's deliberately lying.

I'm saying both as well.
