Can't see how the lever action could possibly compete, with a double barrel.

A couple of fellas shoot competition clays around these parts, with pump guns ...

But, they are always 'coming from behind', with the necessity to 'WORK the action'.

It's just simple physics, not a comment about particular guns.

In my opinion, lever guns would be way more suited to hunting, compared to competition clay sports.

With skeet shooting doubles and down the line follow up shots, I think Adler would be pretty bad. That said, I just shoot for fun. I don't compete, in fact my membership is the el cheapo non-competitive member... So, while I am 100% sure it would put you at a disadvantage during a comp if you need to follow up - it would be heaps fun for just shooting clay for fun. I will confirm or debunk this when it arrives :)

First synthetic shipment was due to arrive in Australia today. Having said that, the order was also shipped short

I know a few guys with Adlers that they use for wing shooting, and with number 7, 28g they seem to work really well on doves and pigeons. On ducks, geese and guinea fowl number 4s work okay, but they seem to pattern best with number 3, 32g shells.

I shot the 2017 season with an Adler. Like most I bought it as a f*** you to GCA and every other ball bag who is afraid of this high speed military machine nuke!
I found mine shot quite well. I spent a few hours in front of the TV racheting the action with Rem oil which made it work well in the field.

I shot everything but mountain duck that season and I did it with an Adler. It was made especially better when I was out shooting Berettas and other high end guns. It got fully submerged a few times when I found some holes walking around. Only ever had one misfire and one failure to eject out of roughly 3000 rounds. Sold it for a Bettinsoli, haven't as well ever since! Hopefully my new T1000 does as well as my old Adler did.

To answer your question, yes it is well suited for waterfowling!

Ive been thinking seriously about an Adler for wallaby and bunnies in close quarters. Cant see why not for ducks and the upset the Olde Guarde at trap shooting events

you might also consider the Pardus LAX MF (magazine fed - my favourite phrase of the week haha) .. they seem to be about the same price as the Adler but Ive yet to look into Tassie laws to see if Im allowed

I’m in same boat right now...it’s cat B in Tas.
Adler, pardus, emerald, Uzkon - all very similar. Heard good / bad things about all of them. I’ve handled the pardus and action was slick and clean. The Uzkon claims to be a more reliable action because it’s directly attached.
The pardus action doesn’t move the trigger - where as the Adler moves everything and looks...a little flimsy maybe ? it’s certainly offset a fair way from centre - Have also heard some Adlers are hard on knuckles...I missed out on a dual barrel(20 and 28) kit last week - bloke sold it for $450 with both barrels.
I’m starting to lean towards a pardus...
