Am seriously thinking about grabbing one of these in 12 Gauge.

It's the 'first generation' version ...

I nearly had myself a 20 gauge Red label as a kid and have ever since had a hankering for one.

Can anyone give a little first hand advice ?

Have checked the net and not a whole heap of love voiced by the Yanks ..... which is perhaps telling, given their passion for everything made 'at home'.

I fear my heart is leading the race ...

Maybe I need a smack about the chops from some fellow Aussies with experience, to snap me out my dream ?

Or ????

Buy it! My dad had a 28 gauge Red Label, older brother inherited it (literally the luck of the draw). Great guns durable as hell, one of the club member has first run 12 gauge that has fired ten of thousands of skeet loads with no breakage and just moderate cleaning at the end of the season.
I've been asked: "How many guns do you need to have?" My answer remains the same: "One more."

Thanks for the push Genesis ...

I've just sold 3 rifles to reduce the size of my collection; I really don't NEED another gun.

But ....

It'll be interesting to see how the new Ruger Precision goes.

Not their usual wheelhouse.

They're asking some serious coin for it. It's going to want to be good for the hype and cost.
