Pardus Leveler Action and Chokes

Hey guys

Question and forgive my ignorance - I am looking to find out if it is possible to fire a rifled slug (Federal power Shok) from a Pardus LAX 12.
It will have the open choke on it.
i have been told conflicting things such as "don't fire anything too heavy with a choke" all the way till "I have put 100 solids through it - no problem".

If it has 'open' choke, then its not a choke really, there is no choke/constriction.... so why worry yourself
