Yep but I'm going to have to up the charge for crows I shot 3 from 20 to 40 yards and they all flew away winged up.

Size 4s. Actually I find that I do pretty well with 7½'s for most of my bird control shooting. 6s are even better. I rarely use anything over 4s these days. I find bigger shot seems to work better if you have a good tight choke. The crows I shot at I would've expected to die on the spot with a 28gm load of 7s out of my coach gun

I have used 5s for all my small game for years. Rabbits to ducks. No problem if I do my bit. 2s for foxes. Just a friendly tip, you gotta shoot straight. Lol

Hmmm yes your right they were 8 rows over and the rows are 3m wide so they were 24m away

So,its been a while,but as you can see the old shotgun has been making a few kills. Its even more special now,as grandpa passed away past week,and I took it on a memorial hunt yesterday

I have really enjoyed this post thanks for posting it my son has gotten a sxs black powder shot gun a few months ago and has really enjoyed it.
