Once you go trap, there's no going back?

Double barrel, side by side, over-under, semi-automatic, straight-pull and lever action shotguns.

Once you go trap, there's no going back?

A good mate invited me and my other half trap shooting today. We had a great time, so much so my wife asks in the car on the way home, can we do that on the farm? "Yes babe, we can."
3 hours later she has picked out a clay thrower and is putting in a PTA!

Yeah clays are addicting, and it's actually seen as a legitimate sport

Few things are as self-fulfilling as "smoking" a clay pigeon.
I've been asked: "How many guns do you need to have?" My answer remains the same: "One more."

Yes very addictive, if your other likes it as well that is just all to the good. But like most addictions it can cost to support the habit, especially sporting clays. it is a quick way to burn up ammo!

It's nice finding something that bit more interactive and team like. She enjoys the .22 pistol but that is very individual. She doesn't dig the larger rifle stuff (my muzzle brakes probably don't help that cause though ;-) )

I have been pigeon and pheasant shooting in France with dogs and enjoyed that immensely.

Our full bore club had it's AGM yesterday. As a social bit of fun we shot some clays at one of the members' property. I had never really had anything to do with shot gunning but always figured I needed one for practicality. It was a bad idea shooting the clays because while I was busting them out of the air I was thinking, "aww yeah, I needs me one of these!"

They look fabulous did you get the carry case as well.I used to do a lot of trap and acquired a trap gun of a mate who had domestic poop happening and had to get rid of his stuff. The little .22 bolt was cool but I could not get used to his trap gun it had a big lump on the stock and it was too high for my boof head.I think he had it custom made cos he never missed.I had a single shot Greener at the time that I never missed with.I was in my LGS and bought a case of target ammo no 7 shot and the sales dude claimed it was only good for breaking clays. The 100 parrots we blasted that afternoon did not agree
