Another adler question.

Double barrel, side by side, over-under, semi-automatic, straight-pull and lever action shotguns.

Another adler question.

Hi all.

I bought a adler A110 awhile ago with a 28 inch barrel. The only problem i have with it is i cant seem to hit much with it. Its like i cant point it well or somerhing. I have a fair amount of experience with a old bently side by side and a webley and scott under and over. shooting rabbits while spotlighting.
With the adler i just seem to waste alot of shot all over the place. I have tried changing the chokes.
But its still the same.
I was thinking of getting the 20 inch barrel but i dont want to waste my money.
I was wondering if anyone else has had similar experiences with the adler?
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. Cheers.

Have you patterned it on a big peice of butchers paper yet?

My adler shoots very low because the barrel isn't lined up with the action.
If I hold a straight edge along the rib it shows that the barrel is actually pointing down.

I have both length barrels and they both fit the same, so in my case the hole in the action for the barrel has been milled on the piss.

I only shoot my adler well when I hold my elbows higher and shorten my neck.

I scored a trap gun cheap of a bloke who had a restraining order. He had the stock custom made to fit his head and I could not hit a thing where he never missed.I had a greener which I rarely missed with so I knew I could track and drop moving targets.I put it in a rest and checked where the pattern went and worked on it for months. The reality was my head and sight line were not right and I struggled.Good luck working on it shorter barrels will not fix it you are going to have to retrain your mounting position
