I would be shooting 300 Blackout if we were allowed to have suppressors! Would definitely be worth it then!

Other than that I can't really see much need for it here as there are cheaper alternatives that can do the job just as well.

What do you use it for? and how does it shoot?

Well you asked and so here goes.

Yes your right you can use other cal's for this but I've shot it on both the Ar- platform and the Remm bolt and it's well a hole lotta fun to shoot!!!With the 1-7 twist you can shoot up to 220 Grns and while there very slow @ 950-1050FPS the energy they hit with is nothing short of amazing. Do I run a suppresor, NO!!! Would I like one not really as most of my shooting is done way out west and so noise isn't a issue, were this comes into it's own is on property's 1-2 hours west of Brisbane that have been Cut to Crap like little 800-1200 acre blocks and bullet carry has become a issue.

Whilst I can down load a 308 or even a 6.5 for that matter the little Rem has come into it's own and will shoot 1/2"moa with 210 Bergers and for the most is a great scrub Gun.Not to mention it fits perfect on the handle bars of my Bike when chasing pigs out around St George way. It's not for everyone but I have read (not here) but on the interweb opinions voiced by Ignorant Assholes who have never owned or fired one and somehow think their opinions even Matter!! :D

It also works well with light 110-125 Grn V Max pills and gives you the option of a rifle with the recoil of a 223 but the hitting power of a much heavier pill.Do I like it Yes Sir  Would I recomend one yep but only if your a reloader as I also use my excess 223 brass for this rifle!!!! If you get the chance try one out I'm sure you'll love it :?: :?: :?:

I was tossing up between the two. Ended up going with a .308 for all the normal reasons.

Coming back round to it now though that I have some spare cash.

Can't take it with you right? Might as well spend it on some toys ;)

My lady seems to think you can

I'm pretty sold on it. Gotta stealth it into the house/safe somehow.

Or earn some brownie points. Aaaargh.

Do you find many shooters using it Westy?

Had a bit of a buzz around the 300 AAC a while back but seemed to have died off now?

Like all new Calibers there is always a buzz then the quiet achievers set to work making the thing shoot well.

Up here in Brisbane there are a dozen guys I know that are fooling around with this Cal. Most of us are 40 plus and have seen alot of fads come and go like the (7mm-08) :D  Sorry I was only joking :!: :!: :!:

Were looking for something with a lite recoil and a heavy pill to shoot and reloading it won't break the bank,Don't tell Joe and Tony or next thing the A.D.F will be being issued them

Really is a nice little gun for anything up to say Goats and pigs and some smaller deer species IMHO

Maybe you 3 guys here are like the only ones that shoot it?

It's just you talking about it on different forums together under different names and not realising
