From 75 - 120gr projectiles.
Easiest to just neck size 22-250 brass up given its the parent case.
I have made some from 6.5CM but it's easier to do the 22-250 case in my experience.
No issues with donuts in my experience.
As others have mentioned they can be pushed harder as they load data is develop around old Savage 99s.
Hornady brass is available, as is ammo.
Remington ammo is available too.
hey mate , yeah i've built a 250 , check some of my previous posts . hornady 250 factory brass hasn't been available for some time . oh yes , they list it , but like 257 bob it's made in batches and the yanks buy it all up .remington factory ammo is about $100 for 20 shots . bit expensive for my budget i'm afraid .
my 250 only gives really good accuracy near max preasure with nosler 85 and 100 bt's . these bullets work great on suitable game . my rifle just doesn't want to know about speer projectiles unfortunately. fireforming resized 22-250 brass is a PITA . going with a 6.5 creed in a stainless T3 as a more flexible package . 95vmax for culling , 120-130 gn for general use . the 250 savage is at it's best with 100gn projectiles , anything heavier it just doesn't have enough case capacity to push them fast enough JMHO
