.243 for me as the all round go to calibre. Shot everything from rabbits to deer with it and never had an issue using it on pigs. I reckon anything hit with a 243 will not be having a good day and will hang around long enough for a follow up shot if needed.

A 303 SMLE is another beauty for the history and the ability to go a long way, a real long way. :)

45-70 is fun to shoot, that's for sure ! might be a bit big for rabbits, but the case is bigger than a 410, so loading shot would make it do everything

Except for the rifled barrel. But it's possible your specific rifle might shoot a usable pattern at very close ranges.

327 federal magnum (in a rifle) - 45,000 psi pressure ceiling, carbide dies ftw, enough punch to take down medium-skinned game, negligible recoil, cheap pills, load it up in a matching revolver... the list goes on

Neither of those, it was built on a W.W. Greener 'GP' 12G action.

That a Nice Rifle

Bugger, now I'm going to have to be the one to point out that there is not a .303 frame Martini action, just large actions like mine that was made in 1872 as a Martini Henry then converted to Martini Enfield 303 around 1900. I think some 303's may have been made from scratch rather than converted, but they were still made on the large action.

The "303 frame" term was just a way of differentiating between the large frame and cadet, sorry.

No need to be sorry at all. :drinks:
Thinking about it there's probably heaps of different sized Martini frames from commercial makers, all the weird little rook rifles, the BSA target rifles etc

So you actually have a 22-250 that kills things, but then revives them...?

Fav...22-250...
Why...because it spells twenty-two two-fifty...
But it sounds like TwenniTuDooFifdee...

Oh, and because it instantly kills, guts, skins, cooks AND eats the rabbit for you all at the same time.

Oh they stay dead with the 22-250 but my favourite is the 30-06. I have taken everything from rabbits to camels with it, and the only problem is there is not much left of the rabbit :D

As far as .224 goes, I can’t believe how accurate and easy to load for the great 222 rem is . 6.5 x55 is my all round favourite, accurate, mild to shoot great projectile choice thanks to Creedmoor. Even a good thing for service rifle. But at the moment 222 is the bee’s knee’s . Poor ol hornet rifle has gone to the corner of the safe now :wtf:

Favourite is a bit of a tricky one. But the one I find myself grabbing the most is the 204 Ruger. Even though it is only shooting a 32gr Zmax. It hits hard for what it is and shoots nice and flat.

My 7mm 08 came a close second. Mainly because it is my all rounder

I'd say foxes mate, mildly windy no really dramas depending on distance.

Me I love the 204 on foxes and bunnies etc, 308 for pigs and deer,22/250 or 222 or 204 or 223 for skippies etc. :drinks:
