Mate if it’s not what you ordered and you’re not happy then take it back. If you like it, keep it. I am certain it will grow on you regardless.

They shoot good the XLRs, and they really do group the Hornady Leverevolutions weirdly well. Like any Marlin though they still string vertically past about 5 rounds. I RTV bedded my forend with amazing success- no stringing at all now even when the barrel gets hot. I’m working on an article detailing exactly how I did this coming soon
At what point does lack of maintenance become patina?
