Oh, I don’t know. I have a 17hmr, a 22 Magnum and a 204 and a 243. I have no regrets with those choices. The hmr shoots a bit flatter than the magnum and is a great bunny gun. I do use the 204 a lot as go to fox and roo rifle. I like the hmr and magnum as I don’t need to muck around reloading. Especially when I may shoot on a property where I am likely to shoot quite a few bunnies. You can pick up a Ruger American hmr for around $600 which is not a huge amount of dollars in the scheme of things.

A Stiller Tac 30 for $5,000 is no a huge amount of dollars in the scheme of things either, it just takes a little longer to save up.. Kids, now they end up being expensive.

+1 that's what I run for mid-high cal. 30-06 for pigs and 6.5CM for fallow.
