375 Cheytac Projectiles.

Post by Nick375 » 12 Nov 2019, 4:19 pm

Good afternoon All,

First time poster here.

I have recently purchased a Victrix Tormentum in 375 Cheytac.

Absolutely amazing rifle, flawless construction and silky smooth action.

However finding components to reload this has proven a little tedious. I am currently in possession of Dies and Brass. However projectile acquisition is proving some what more challenging.

I would be most appreciative of any advice or places to begin looking to try and track these missing parts down.

Thank you greatly in advance and look forward to chatting and exchanging ideas and commentary.

What weight projectiles do you want to shoot? If you want to shoot specialised weights you may be restricted to turned brass projectiles.

Thanks for the reply. Greatly appreciated. Honestly I am thinking something around the 350gn mark. However one can not really be choosy at the moment given the scarcity of these at present. I have managed to track down some serria projectiles but again this was a stretch.

I use 350 grain SMK in a 378 Weatherby Magnum, they have a great BC for some long range plinking. Sierras are usually available in the US and most gun stores should be able to get them for you.

A while back I got some Cutting Edge brass turned projectiles from Meplat Services in SA. They may also have a hunting bullet to suit you. Being brass they are on the lighter side.

Hi Nick375,
Just going out on a limb here. But once you wear-out a few cases would you be willing to sell me a couple of deactivated rounds (that is spent primer, empty, but with projectile seated)? I will pay postage also. I’m making a display case dedicated to the best long range cartridges.
Thanks.
