shooting a standard non improved 30-06 at 2800+ yards
after the first days trials they went and had the throat lengthened so they could stuff another grain of powder in to the case and work up to the same pressure but it would have also been at more velocity shooting the 230gr berger bullet with quite a bit of energy left in the bullet at the target :thumbsup:
not a bad job for an old war horse at all, a cartridge that was made over 100 years ago and not looking like going anywhere soon :drinks:

I can’t shoot to save my life 280 is too far for me And an 06 kicks me too much
