It throws bullets well over-size so you can size them down to suit your rifle, around .272".

Baby steps...if I rush out and buy everything there's no fun in it, I put a deposit on the rifle in November last year and only just picked it up, spent a few months looking at scopes ( that was like looking at porn when I was a young teenager, I really enjoyed that ) i also still need to get rings and bases to mount the scope.
I havnt yet decided if I want to press my own or just go factory ammo. Life is busy with kids and work, heck I only get to hunt a couple times a year.
So it's something small I can focus on and look forward to in the back of my mind fantasizing about trajectories, tight groups, expanding projectiles and looking at ferals through scopes.

Do you get to do any recreational shooting outside of hunting? If you're only shooting 20-odd rounds a year it's not worth loading your own.

That is the biggest part of reloading, being able to shoot a whole lot more

Good you made me see that clearly, factory ammo it is.

You don't enjoy shooting?

Work is 6 days a week, roughly 65 hours a week, Sunday is family day, otherwise my kids won't know who I am.

that's rough harry. i did those sort of hours when i was younger shooting factory ain't cheap but harry . i'd go with the hornady creedmore ammo myself . the 6.5x55 i shoot really excells when hand loaded in a modern rifle , far in excess of factory underloaded ammo
JimTom wrote:Mate I have a 1:8 twist 6.5 Creedmoor and my rifle loves the Hornady 143 ELD X. Shoots under half inch at 100m.
Another alternative to the Hornady pills is the Speer 140gr. They also go well although not as good as the Hornady.
