I'll throw one in on the outer limits. My brother used to run a sizzling load around 4200fps in his 22-250. Fairly light bullet from what I can remember, think it was a 40. He didn't get more than 1100 rounds from it, culprit was throat erosion.

The interesting thing was that it was deadly single-hole accurate right up until that 1100 round figure, then started stringing them vertically wildly, a line about 12 inches over 200m if I remember right.

Again, these were max loads on the limit. Flattened primers, cases needed regular resizing etc. Got his 900yd smallbore record with it, though, hazzah!
