I expected the bullet to make the 140ft, but no way did I expect a .45ACP to go 250ft :-)

I see nothing that flight ballistics couldn't calculate? I have shot 45ACP over 500 yards at Eagle Park and nearly hit the gong whereas a friend did hit it, so distance isn't the issue. Friction from the PVC can be calculated and making 83 yards could be expected. German tests with 90 degree barrels showed effective ranges of 300 meters with the 7.92 Kurz and remember that the flight time for 45ACP over 250 ft is only 0.3 seconds. Have never really wanted to be a ranch hand again, but maybe if this mob were looking for workers I might change my mind. Cheers.

Nope, the distance is fine. Changing direction burns energy, it's a major principle of motorcycle racing, on top of the friction of near-continuous contact with the plastic, and deformation of the bullet. I was amazed it managed the full 250ft, and it was really running out of steam at that point.
