i love new calibers but haven't got into the 6.8's. i love my grendel, 308 and 06. those three cover the entire spread of anything i'd hope to be able to do with any of the new calibers so i tend to go for oddball ones. like the 375 raptor or the 375 socom. stupid amount of extra work to be able to have and shoot one and nothing is gained that can't be done with another caliber, but they are fun as hell and that's enough for me.

I can remember when some people said the .243 was a new fangled waste of time and that it would never last and the 6 mm Remington was way better ( which it was ) also said it can't do anything that the 257 Roberts can do ( which is also true ) but hey it killed them both . So I try not to put down new cartridges because you just don't know what will succeed and what will die .
I always liked the 7 x 61 Sharp & Hart cartridge but ammo and brass was impossible to find back then so I dropped the idea .
Now it seems to be enjoying a bit of a revival .
