hell yeah. i think the fella had more money than sense, currently cleaning a bit of copper out of the barrel . don't think he new to clean it

should fire off a few next weekend . the RWS ammo figures are pretty stout . listed muzzle velocity out of a 23.5 inch barrel is 2430 with a 293 gn projectile for 3842 ft lbs of energy  . i might put that slip on recoil pad back on :P

Big rich. I just looked into my crystal ball and I saw that you took your new Sako 9,3 for a walk thru some scrub and it felt so right In your hands that for a long time all your other rifles became safe queens .....in 12 months time, let me know if I was correct

my 45-70 guide has been fun doing load testing of the bench . the 9.3 has a little more shove :D shooting offhand , i enjoy a pumpkin roller, no worries
it's the load development off the bench that's gunna test me a little . i can take the knocks but am cautious about developing a flinch

Basically squirt of smoke and fire next to your face.
Sttrangely I am OK with flintlock rifle but the big military muskets get me every time.
I also think it is the fact you need to wrench the trigger.
Or if you mean elephant calibres it is because the kick considerably.
Give you a damn head ache depending how many rounds you put through.

Well at first maybe.
Bet you started with a 22 as well?
I think I started with an air rifle or a 22.

I think it’s Lyman rifle North of Brisbane quite economical to buy To start of with a very trad rifle. For me it would have to be rifled, and with sights. I looked into it but the corrosive nature of black powder and all that cleaning put me off

It sounds a lot worse than it really is.
