Sellier & Bellot .22-250

Post by Old Fart » 23 Jun 2014, 8:34 pm

Blokes,

Who's using Sellier & Bellot ammo?

I flipped through the latest SSAA mag and thought I saw something? Didn't get to read the article in full though.

I picked up a few boxes for the .22-250 for a good price because the store couldn't move them last week. Not going to get out for a couple of weeks now due to a bung leg though so can't test them out.

What should I expect?

I got some for a new 223. Accuracy about 1.5 to 2 moa, so not impressed . But to be fair a budget rifle and I have not tried anything else. My identical rifle in 3006 with my hand loads shoots about moa and no experimenting.

I've only tried one box but this was what I got out of 10 shot groups in my 22.

Not the best in my rifle but not terrible.

Not terrible by any means. Just not the best I got out of my rifle.

Think they sold too soon.

SSAA hunters mage just did a review on their 22LR, 22-250 and .223 ammo so people will be in for it any day I reckon.

5 shot group with the 55gr 22-250 had 3 touching and 2 further apart for about a 1" group over all.

55gr is what I've got and that accuracy will do.

Lucked out with the timing on them. Great.

I saw your other topic with the ammo testing and that tiny group. Real good shooting :)

While I have it in front of me...

The 22LR ammo shot a 10 shot group at what looks to be about 1 1/4 inch. The .223 shot about the same as the 22-250.

If anyone else is looking at the ammo.
