Tracer rounds

Hey all

Can you legally purchase tracer rounds here in Aus, or the bullets themselves for hand-loading? I want to see if 22lr and 30 calibre tracers are out there and legal to purchase.
If something doesn't work, apply rule .303!

They are awesome.

Sorry :(

BTW - They cause fires. And they teach you how many bullets can leave the range when the berm doesn't catch them. Like HALF. So you can't shoot when it's dry because they go unexpected places and set brush on fire.

You can get the chemical tracers for 12g no worries but I haven't seen rifle tracers for years

Me and a mate have the old M196 that light up bright red right out of the barrel. We go at a mad minute with one AR and one M16 and it looks like Star Wars

i remember doing that too, from a Vickers .303 machine gun and later from a M60 7.62 MG. Maybe we were fighting the same fires. :friends:

I think that was the excuse they used to ban them here if I remember right.
