Under / Over Combinations

Post by Die Judicii » 02 Nov 2013, 10:45 pm

Hi,
I am presuming this to be the appropriate segment for my question.

I am looking at purchasing a Combo, and have done a bit of looking around, and partially made up my mind.
At the moment I am favouring a Tikka (single trigger) in 12 guage / .222
I would be using it mainly on fox, hare, rabbit, feral dog.
My main question,-------- Is there a 12 G / .243 combo ? (I havent seen one mentioned yet)

What are the views on the abovementioned by the masses ?

All suggestions welcomed.

Cheers to all

You my friend, need the BRNO Combo gun by CZ.

.243 Winchester and 12 gauge shotgun as requested.

Bit more expensive than your average Tikka though.

The Tikka is the 412 right?

Not sure how easy those are to find these days might be your only problem :(

The problem I find with combination guns is they're either 'youth guns' in 22LR and 410 bore, or maybe 22WMR and 20 gauge shotgun..

Or...

They're game guns in 30-06 and 12 gauge. Or 12 gauge paired with a similar power rifle cartridge.

.243 + 12 gauge seems like a mismatched power combo for what most people make. CZ have one obviously like SendIt said, but I don't think you're going to have much choice if you've got to have these two rounds specifically.
What is this "too many rifles" you speak of?

Hi,
Trouble is the one recommended by Sendit is a double trigger job which I'm not too keen on.

I dont mind the 12G / .222 ones, and was just curios to see if the .243 combo existed but it appears not.
Cheers
